Meditation Class with Oana Lansman

Weekly Meditation Group

COST: $20

Meditation is an approach to training the mind similar to how fitness is an approach to training the body. Contemporary research shows how a consistent meditation practice yields long-term positive effects on brain and immune function among meditators. Lower blood pressure, improved circulation, improved heart rate, reduced stress and anxiety, lower cortisol levels - are just a few documented benefits.   Every week you will be guided through lovingly-curated experiences of embodied mindfulness, conscious breathing, mantra and guided meditation, self-reflection, deep relaxation, and yoga nidra.

The tools and practices may vary from week to week, while at times they will be building up over the course of a few sessions. The practitioners will remain engaged and curious while growing their tool set of time-proven practices designed to keep the mind present and buoyant, and the heart open and generous.   Each session will start with a series of gentle movements which will activate muscle groups and joints, as well as stimulate deep breathing and relaxation in to get the body ready to settle in the meditation posture with greater stability and ease.

Suitable for beginners and/or established practitioners.

Prepare to relax and be moved.

Why join a meditation group?

You’ve read about meditation and mindfulness, but you’ve mostly just dabbled in it. You had a devoted practice, but somehow you’ve lost it. You have a practice currently but long for connection and support.    You don’t have to do it alone. We aren’t meant to do life alone. You can choose to share in with the group, or you can simply practice quietly feeling the support of others practicing alongside you. It’s always better together.   Whether you are seeking a lightness of being, stress reduction, increased focus, greater compassion for yourself and others, and/or a reconnection to divine grace, the fruits of genuine practices can be profound.

What do you need?

Simply a willingness to turn your loving attention inward. No prior meditation experience required. Bring pen and paper if you’d like to journal about your experience afterwards.
