The Horse Shoe farm wouldn't be the “Horseshoe” farm without these 2 handsome fellows, our resident black stallions, Nelson (9 years old) and Marley (11 years old).
These Iberian horses are brothers and have made themselves at home the last 4 years on the farm.
Living with the other livestock out in The Animal Barn, they’re fixtures out in the pastures and help protect everyone from natural predators. Make sure you make your way over to them to say hello, give them a snack, or just admire their power, grace, and beauty.
Fun 🐴 Facts
Nelson is bigger and has the♦on his face, but Marley is older and is the alpha (he’s in charge).
They are most active at sunrise and sunset. That’s when you can usually witness them dancing, playing, and running around. It’s a magical sight.
They were named after some of our favorite musicians (Can you guess- Willie and Bob?)... a much needed upgrade from the names they came with (Armani and Gucci 😝).
They love treats - 🍎 and 🥕 have a special place in their hearts.
If they see you they’ll usually come running. They love people, (generally because they bring them treats). Feel free to indulge them.
We do NOT offer
horseback riding,

You are absolutely welcome to go and visit the animals at The Animal Barn! We love sharing the animals on the farm with our guests and want you to have a safe experience with them. It is important to remember that our animals are working animals and are here primarily for agricultural purposes and may behave as such.
