Join me in an embodied dance practice. A chance to show up just as you are.
We are all dancers, whether we know it yet or not. What happens when we give ourselves permission and the space to explore our own bodies, minds, emotions, and souls?
6:00 pm dance starts (please give yourself time to arrive, get oriented, settle in)
6:30 pm doors close
8:00 pm class ends
“Dance is an action…in response to internal sensations or perceived external stimuli.”
- Sharon Chaiklin
$20 per person
What to expect:
Open Floor is an inclusive embodiment practice created by a collective - there is no right way and no wrong way (only your way) to move on the dance floor. We move and include what’s true, as we invite in movement resources, explore and listen with our body.
We make space for the resistance, the exuberance, the big, the small, the too-much, the not-enough, and everything in between.
Class structure:
We Open Attention to our body and the present moment, taking time to stretch, arrive, check in “how am i right now?”
We Enter the dance, the space - what are we inviting, what’s the intention, what’s alive for you.
We Explore and listen to what the body has to express - deepen, broaden, allow the practice to drop into us.
We Settle - time to digest, integrate, maybe even carry forward the dance into our life.
What to bring:
Water bottle
Comfortable, layered clothing
Bare feet or dance shoes
Willingness to show up

Her experience and certification in the embodiment practice of Focusing deeply informs her approach to movement, grounded in deep listening and an attitude of making space for all parts of ourselves and each other.
