THE HORSE SHOE FARM

Rivers & Ponds

A RIVER RUNS THROUGH IT

If you’ve gotten this deep into our site then hopefully you’ve read the story of the horseshoe, because this speaks directly to our reverence for The French Broad, of which we have about 1200ft of frontage on.

What you may not realize is that we actually have our own internal horseshoe within the property carved out by the two streams that run the length of the farm and feed into the French Broad River. We are always in awe with how nature formed the terrain here and is constantly cleansing the energy with its positive flow and movement through the land.

In addition to the river, we have 2 ponds on site, one next to each stream. The Willow Pond and The Watering Hole. You are welcome to fish in both ponds, as guests regularly catch bass and brim (there are fishing rods in The Farmhouse).

The Watering Hole, which is spring fed from right back on the hill, is crystal clear and the perfect place to swim & fish! There is also a little sand beach on the shore, which is perfect for the little ones to spend the day out in the fresh air and open fields.
