THE HORSE SHOE FARM
Made on The Farm (or BY The Farm…)
We are after all a farm, so yes, we grow things.
In fact, it’s one of our favorite things to do.
There is nothing better than getting your hands in the dirt and connecting deeply with Mother Earth, and receiving her blessings back in the form of an abundant bounty.
When we first opened the farm we started with a little kitchen and herb garden, but over the years we’ve grown into so much more.
5 Years in and the following things are made on or by the farm:
Honey
If you’re over by The Hilltop Cottage be sure to go say hi to the hardest workers on the farm. Our bees will be buzzing around to produce our honey for The Silo Cookhouse, The Stable Spa, and gift shop.
Eggs
Talk about free range. Our ladies are usually the first team members to greet any of our guests. When you see the color of their yolks, you’ll understand there happiness.
Fruit
We have apple, pear, cherry and peach trees growing at various ages around the property. We also have ample wild blackberry and wineberries brambles.
Flowers
If you see a flower in a vase, it most likely came from here. From early spring to late fall, the farm is in bloom and the ever shifting array of color and blossoms is breathtaking.
Vegetables and Herbs
You are what you eat and food is our medicine. Everything we grow moves right to your plate at The Silo Cookhouse.
If your interested in learning about the farm while your here please let us know.
We love sharing the land and exchanging information with our guests.
