FAQ for The Stable Spa

We highly encourage making reservations in advance by calling 828-393-3034 ext. 2 or booking an appointment online. When making your lodging reservation, we recommend booking at least three (3) months in advance to reserve your ideal treatment time as our Spa and Farm Day Passes are open to the public as well.
We require a credit card in order to hold your spa reservation. Appointments cannot be made without a credit card. If you are new to The Stable Spa please review our policies and frequently asked questions. Some of our policies may prevent certain guests from receiving services so please encourage all new guests in your party to review them in order to avoid any disruption to your spa reservations.

Please have your forms submitted before arrival and arrive at least 15 minutes prior to your scheduled appointment time to prepare for your treatment and turn your phone to silent.
We also ask that you speak softly and enjoy the relaxing atmosphere and surroundings. The Spa is a non-smoking facility and outside food and beverage are not permitted.
For your safety, we recommend that you refrain from drinking alcoholic beverages before receiving a spa treatment.
We reserve the right to refuse treatment for any intoxicated guest at The Stable Spa.**

Please note we have a firm 24-hour cancellation and change policy. Within 24 hours of your scheduled appointment time, no changes or cancellations are permitted and will result in a full charge for all treatments.
Your scheduled spa treatment is reserved specifically for you. Changes or cancellations due to delayed travel or traffic will result in shortened treatments or a full charge for missed treatments. Please contact us at 828-393-3034 x2 at least 24 hrs in advance to make any changes.

We pride ourselves in using organic and local ingredients in our spa products including massage oils, masks, and other specialty service items.

We accept SAME DAY exchanges or returns for store credit as long as the item is in sale-able condition, unwashed, and unworn with tags attached.
*Restrictions apply to body care products.
Body care products cannot be returned and all sale items are final sale.

An automatic 20% service charge will be applied to all treatments, services, classes and day passes.
Gratuity for your massage therapist is included in the 20% service charge. You are welcome to add more gratuity for exceptional service, please notify the receptionist upon check out.
*Please note we recommend cash for any extra gratuity you may want to leave your Massage Therapist.

Minors who are 12 years of age or younger are not permitted in the Spa.
Minors 13-17 years old must have a minor consent form signed by a parent and the parent must be present during treatment. Specific treatments offered to minors are available upon request. The Polar Bear Pass is limited to adults age 18 and over.
Guests diagnosed with dementia or Alzheimer’s must be accompanied by another responsible adult.

Please alert us if you have a medical condition, or are presently under a physician’s care. Conditions such as pregnancy, high blood pressure, acute injury and heart ailments are of special interest to ensure your safety.
We will customize our services to fit your needs when possible, but may need a Doctors note in order to proceed with treatments.
*(NOTE: We are open to examining requests for first trimester pregnancies on a case by case basis, please give us a call to book.)

We pride ourselves in offering our clients the full treatment time advertised with our services. Please complete your forms before arrival and arrive at least 15 minutes prior to your scheduled appointment time to prepare for your treatment. Arriving late can shorten your spa treatment, as we must end at the scheduled time to honor other guests treatment times. The full value of your treatment will be charged.

When you have any of these conditions, please do not book a spa treatment:
• Fever
• Recent operations
• Neuritis
• Skin diseases
• Contagious diseases including any cold or flu, no matter how mild it may seem. (Remember Covid-19?)
• Under the influence of drugs or alcohol including prescription pain medication.

WHAT TO BRING
Dress comfortably, your day at the spa is meant to be relaxing. Robes are available if you’d like but not necessary.
If you have a Day Pass bring your swimsuit, sunglasses, and some comfortable pool shoes for our pool house area. Towels are provided.
At this time there are no lockers available. Please do not bring jewelry or other valuables to The Stable Spa, as we cannot guarantee the security of these items.
There is a short walk outside from the Spa to the Pool House; Steam Shower, Sauna, Pool and Jacuzzi so come prepared in case of inclement weather.

The Farm Day Pass

The pricing and availability for The Farm Day Pass fluctuates and is available seasonally from May to November. Please call when booking to confirm rates & availability.
We do not have lockers in the spa or pool house at this time, please plan accordingly.

A Farm Day Pass can be added by calling the The Stable Spa or through online booking. Passes can be added up to 24 hours before arrival.

A bathing suit, sunscreen, comfortable shoes for outdoor or pool activity (think chacos!), hat..
Anything you might need for a day at the pool, sauna or steam room!

A Farm Day Pass is available to guests receiving services and treatments in The Stable Spa.
Guests of spa guests: On some occasions, we may offer Farm Day Passes for up to 1 guest of someone receiving a treatment based on availability. Please inquire with the front desk for more information and pricing.

We offer to-go lunch orders from The Silo Cookhouse for guests of The Spa or Farm.
NO outside food or drink is permitted on property unless you are an overnight guest, and no outside food is permitted in The Spa or at The Pool House.

The pool is for use “at your own risk” so be mindful of that if you plan on using The Pool House facilities.

Your day pass is tied to the day of your treatment, which means that it’s non-transferrable to another day, regardless of inclement weather. Day passes can be canceled or added on same-day, but treatments require 24 HR cancellation notices.

Parents may purchase a Farm Day Pass for children, however all minor children must remain supervised at all times (that means you cannot leave your children at the pool unattended to get a massage or for any other reason)***
All minor children must be supervised at all times and their parent needs to sign a waiver on their behalf to be on property.
