For thousands of years, people have turned their eyes to the night sky in quiet wonder. This shared act of gazing upward and wondering together has awakened reflection, reverence, and insight across cultures and generations. Join astronomer and author Stephan Martin for an evening of contemplative stargazing as we open ourselves to the wonder, beauty, and mystery of the cosmos above and around us. Together weβll expand our hearts and minds as we explore the night sky, reflect on our relationship with the universe, and open to the vast dimensions of insight and guidance it offers. As we transition into the depths of the darkest time of the year, this session invites us to explore and honor the dark and hidden dimensions of the universe: the vast, fertile spaces where new beginnings take shape. Together weβll attune to the wisdom that dwells in the unseen, listening for what this season of deep darkness may be asking of us and offering to our lives at this time. The evening will include periods of guided stargazing, silent reflection, and mindful sharing, inviting a sense of cosmic perspective, community, and belonging to something larger. Many participants describe a profound sense of peace, wonder, inspiration, and renewal after these gatherings. Steve will also bring a small telescope to reveal hidden wonders of the universe not visible to the unaided eye. Please bring a chair or a blanket for sitting on the ground and dress warmly. In case of clouds or poor weather, weβll contemplate the nature of the universe indoors, with Steve guiding us to reflect on how our immediate experience and daily lives are woven into the magnificent unfolding story of the cosmos. Clear or cloudy, this is an evening you wonβt want to miss!
