From Eagles Nest to The Horse Shoe Farm - A Personal Message from John Turchin

Dear Family, Friends, and Friends We Call Family:
Over the past 15 years, my family and I have explored what it means to grow forever young. During this time our family has also grown with the marriage of both our children and the welcoming of two healthy and happy grandchildren. It’s through this process that Susan and I, along with the entire family, have taken time to reflect on what our dream of growing forever young really means.
In Banner Elk, it was The Lodges at Eagles Nest: the perfect outdoor community to run, explore, play, and be surrounded with the ones we love most. Eagles Nest was and is a state of mind we cultivated together with you that has now served as the catalyst for my next project.

Welcome to the next generation of Eagles Nest, The Horse Shoe Farm!

Nestled amongst the scenic landscape of Hendersonville, North Carolina, minutes from Asheville, The Horse Shoe Farm is the ultimate retreat at the center of one of the world’s fastest growing vacation destinations. For you, the farm offers:

  • One-of-a-kind frontage along the French Broad River
  • On-site nightly accommodations for up to 40 guests
  • Indoor/outdoor event space for weddings, events, reunions and more for 500+ friends
  • Equestrian facilities minutes from acclaimed Tryon International Equestrian Center
  • And 80+ acres of pristine land to, again, enjoy with the ones we love most

From the second I stepped foot on the farm, I was stunned by the natural beauty of the rolling hills and the picturesque Mt. Pisgah vista across the meandering river. It’s with great pleasure I personally invite you to visit the farm for an intimate weekend getaway, a week-long family vacation, a reunion with extended family or all the above. Some say it’s the luckiest bend in the French Broad River, but we know it to be true! Take a look through the site to learn more about our latest project.I look forward to seeing you on the Farm soon! All my best,John Turchin
